Jackie Leibsohn
I have been a practicing licensed psychologist for over 28 years. I help people with depression, anxiety, alcohol/drug dependency & recovery, disordered eating, codependency, life transitions, and career exploration. I graduated from the American Psychological Association Accredited Doctoral program at Colorado State University specializing in Counseling/Clinical Psychology.
I use a person-centered and insight oriented approach to counseling with behavioral interventions to encourage change. An exploration of current concerns, along with a focus on both present circumstances and, as much as needed, past experiences will be used to help understand and ameliorate your distress. Insight, taking personal responsibility, and making behavioral and emotional changes are the goals of treatment.
In addition to being a professional counselor, I am Professor Emeritus at Seattle University, where I taught graduate level counselors and supervised professional counselors for over 30 years.
